Together we can help alleviate hunger.
Nearly 900,000 Canadians rely on food banks each month. This staggering number is larger than the population of Ottawa. In fact, together these Canadians would be our country’s fifth largest city*. We know hunger is a complex issue. But Campbell Canada is helping by doing what we can as a food company to ease the impact – even if it’s for just one meal. We’re also raising awareness and inspiring Canadians to get involved.
In 2008, we launched our hunger awareness and food drive campaign: Help Hunger Disappear®. Since then, it has helped drive our donations to Food Banks Canada and encouraged Canadians to get involved and make donations to their local food banks.

Our Partners in Helping Alleviate Hunger
Food Banks Canada: Through our multi-year commitment, we help support Food Banks Canada through annual donations of funds and wholesome products. Each year Campbell Canada donates one million pounds of wholesome food products to food banks across the country. We also provide charitable funds, research resources, and support for community and awareness building programs.
UN World Food Programme: Campbell Canada donations help to fund a school meal for a hungry child in a developing country.
Daily Bread Food Bank: Campbell Canada helps provide funding to a number of Daily Bread Food Bank programs including the Food Service Training program – a program that helps individuals involved with Daily Bread Food Bank to get the training they need to find careers in the food service industry.
In 2012, 38% of those turning to food banks were children and youth.

Nourish
Nourish was created by Campbell Canada in 2011 to be a nutrient-dense, complete meal, with a full serving of three food groups (as outlined by Canada’s Food Guide). With an easy-to-open lid, 24-month shelf-life, Nourish was designed to be appealing either heated or at room temperature without the addition of water making it an ideal option for donation to food banks in Canada or in disaster-relief situations. Nourish helps to provide important nutrients such as protein, iron and calcium thanks in part to a unique variety of oats grown exclusively in Manitoba.
- Since the launch of Nourish in February 2011, Campbell Canada has donated more than 300,000 cans to food banks across the country through Food Banks Canada as well as donations to northern Canadian communities, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Watch how together, we can help Nourish those in need.
