The Canadian Labels for Education program started in 1998, following the success of the US program. This school support program encourages registered schools or institutions to collect labels from Campbell's products and redeem them for educational resources ranging from musical instruments and sports equipment to video equipment and computers. In Canada, the program has over 7,400 institutions registered and more than 38 million labels have been collected. In the U.S., the program has run for over 30 years, with 75,000 institutions registered.
Once a school registers in the Labels for Education program, the fun begins. Each item carries a label "price tag" that defines the number of label points required to redeem the item. For example, Sports: The Complete Visual Reference Book can be redeemed with 1,825 label points. Click here to view our redemption merchandise.
When schools have collected their first 1,000 labels, they can begin
sending in their notorized label deposit form to the redemption centre.
Schools can send regular "deposits" of labels, just like a regular bank
account with cumulative totals, deposit dates and redemption "withdrawals"
conveniently indicated on each school's statement. The redemption period
begins on September 1, and ends on May 15 each year. Label account
balances can be carried over from year to year. However, the 2005/2006
redemption catalogue expires June 1, 2006.
