Use graham crackers as backing to make the walls more sturdy, if desired.
Ensure you have royal icing to hold together your house. To make your own, beat 1 egg white with an electric mixer on high speed until foamy. Gradually add cups confectioners’ sugar and ½ tsp. water and beat on high until stiff peaks form. Multiple batches may be needed.
Build each part of the A-frame separately on a flat work surface or sheet pans lined with parchment paper, let dry completely, then assemble and decorate.

Tools
Piping bags with a round tip (large size for thick line of icing)
Optional: leaf tip for icicles
Serrated knife (to cut pretzel rods)
Sheet pans or large flat work surface lined with parchment paper
Directions
Fit the round top to the piping bag and fill the bag with royal icing.
The A-Frame base is 1 square (about 6×6″) using pretzel rods and pretzel sticks (plus pretzel snaps for the front of the porch). Place 2 pretzel rods parallel and 1 pretzel rod’s length apart (about 6″) on the work surface. Pipe a thick layer of icing across the tops.
Arrange 10 pretzel rods crosswise on top, pressing the ends into the icing. Pipe a thick line of icing on the first 5 pretzel rods, and place the pretzel sticks crosswise on top to cover (the half covered with the sticks will be the porch- ice the front edge and cover with pretzel snaps).
Triangular walls consist of 2 tall triangles (4.5″ base and 8″ on each side) using graham crackers and pretzel minis. For each triangular wall, arrange and cut graham crackers on the work surface to form a tall triangle (4.5″ at the base and 8″ on each side). Glue the graham cracker pieces together with thick lines of icing. Let dry completely.
Spread with a thick layer of icing and decorate with pretzel minis. Let dry completely.
Roof pieces are 2 rectangles (10 x 5′ each) using graham crackers and pretzel rods. For each roof piece, arrange 4 graham crackers two-by-two to make a 10×5” rectangle. Glue the graham crackers together with thick lines of icing. Let dry completely.
Cover with a thick layer of icing and pretzel rods. Let dry completely.
The chimney is 4 rectangles (about 1 ¼ x 5″) using graham crackers and pretzel minis. Cut 4 chimney pieces (2 graham crackers in half lengthwise, about 1 ¼ x 5″ each). Glue the long sides together to form a box, using thick lines of icing. Let dry completely. Note: do not cut the chimney angle until the A-Frame is assembled and dry.
Using a serrated knife, gently cut the base of the chimney at an angle so it will sit flush against the roofline.
Cover with a thick layer of icing and pretzel minis.
Allow everything to completely dry.
Decorate with candy and gingerbread people. Admire and enjoy!
